It is with great sadness that we have to announce the recent death of Mr John Price, the Chairman of Tameside Sight.

Mr Price worked tirelessly over the past forty years for visually impaired people of Tameside, founding with others, Tameside Blind Association. He has been the lynchpin of the Trustees, providing knowledge and practical experience. He, along with members of his family, friends and volunteers have run regular weekly social clubs over this time period.

The amount of his time and energy spent doing this will never be replicated.

John will be sorely missed.

John’s funeral was held on Thursday 12th May 2016 at Dukinfield Crematorium.
