About this deal
The educational values of this book for children are very helpful for children who are eager to learn about other places besides their own.
This informational picture book brings engaging nonfiction content to younger readers by showing them how other children live around the world. The only reason I think that is because of all of the facts and there are a lot of words on each of the pages. Although I enjoyed the illustrations that were present, I do wish there were multiple representations of each culture. With this flexible fare that offers outstanding value for money you can visit 98% of the world’s countries.
This is exactly what we were looking for to teach my 6 year old a little bit about other countries and world cultures (on a broad overview with quick fun facts).
The book gives plenty of information about each country such as the environment, weather, animals, and even includes some words from the language spoken there. In the illustrations on each page was an illustration of what those people might look like, landmarks that you might see, and other cultural things that are traditional to that country. We piggyback on the young boy's imagination and take a trip around the world visiting countries such as Japan, Mexico, Kenya, Canada, and many more. The book is clearly for students whose first language is English but because major countries are touched on (including America) this book could work in any language.
