About this deal

The next time they meet is Three years later, only a few days before their wedding. Now Aria is 18, and it is very clear to Luca she has grown into an attractive woman. While meeting her at her hotel he ask to speak to her privately where he gives her birth control for her to start taking. It is found out in his POV, his intention was to kiss her, so she would not have her first kiss in front of a group of people, but he does not get a chance to. Let's be honest here, Dante and Valentina were never among my favorites. To be honest I didn't even like them very much, even though I really like how the story in Bound by Duty went by Dante and Val just never really catch my love. But BBTP changed my mind I do love them now! Being able to take a peak inside Dante's head was crucial to me, to be able to understand him and understand the reason to a lot of things in Bound by Duty! I loved the whole book and I don't want to give spoilers and its so hard to write this review without letting any slip by. I swear these people have an obsession with marrying young girls and with the place of a woman in that world. They are only good for procreation and to make alliances. They need to be seen not heard and in the event where they get a good, equal opportunity husband, they can only be themselves in private because God forbid someone gets the wrong impression that the big bad mobster can’t control his wife. After her husband dies, Valentina keeps her late husband’s secret because she wanted to respect the dead and also protect herself. However, now that her marriage to Dante is looming, Valentina fears that her body of lies are threatening to unravel. But her worries are unfounded because Dante is not very interested in finding much about her and he ignores her. Now she becomes confused and indignant and she is planning to make Dante fall in love with her even though his heart belongs to a dead woman.

I liked that through her whole pregnancy gianna didn’t change and that even if she changed her mind it wasn’t rushed or miraculously done, but at the same time i hated that she gave them a child because they didn’t want one so to change your characters just to be able to write about their kid is annoying, and pls authors have to stop thinking women can only have a happy ending if there’s a child involved 😭 Betrayal. I’d killed an Outfit soldier. A man who was loyal to the cause, to my father, to the Outfit. Seems like Danilo and Sofia’s story might be the same in the sense Danilo seems to be in pretty damn deep with Serfina and Sofia will be second best.

Publication Order of Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles Books

Luca and Aria: I love my number one babies. The short story of Amo was cute but, I don't think the gym sex short story was necessary. I never expected them to have three kids but, I'm happy about that. Valerio is kinda cute.... it'll grow on me I guess. A large part of Dante's guilt and inner conflict, stemmed from his strong feelings for the heroine. He couldn’t understand why he wanted her more than he'd wanted his beloved dead wife: I realised that yeah, I’ll take naive/plain idiotic but loyal and feminist than a strong career type women who will sell her kids. So yeah, Aria, you have a new fan. She did what she could. Whatever little power she acquired, she used for the good of others, other women and generally other people that she thought deserved more. While it's true that they had no choice but to get married, they could choose to show affection and eventually, love each other.

Overall, it was okay I expected much more. As far as characters go Dante and Val are great but the mentioning of his deceased wife was way too much and it would have been nice to see more Dante and Val. I guess I’m just glad we got the “I love you” and this wasn’t a book about Luca and Aria 😄 I’m tired of those two.I don't know what to say here... it just reminded me of how idiotic plan Aria had. What else can I say? Yeah, it's true that he loved his first wife, but that sad admission at the end explained so much for me! Every moment of the day I think of the things I want to do to you, catch myself remembering your taste, your smell. Sometimes I think I'll go insane if I don't bury myself in you." Maybe love is a risk, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take and, as you said, it’s not a choice. I never thought I would, never thought I could love someone like that, but I fell in love with you. I fought it. It’s the first battle I didn’t mind losing." -Luca to Aria

I love the way she handled the situation dead wife situation. She knows what she wants and she goes for it. Her persistence pays off at the end. I loved that Val was allowed to work at the Casino and wasn't just a trophy wife. For her and only for her 2.75 stars. Now with eighteen, the day Aria has been dreading for years is looming dangerously: her wedding to Luca. I didn't give it 5 stars, because I didn't really like the fact that Dante had genuinely been in love with his first wife. I'd been hoping, before reading the book, that his first marriage had been one of convenience and that it was guilt, for not having loved her, that had tormented him so much whenever he thought of her.

The only way to escape the marriage to Luca would be to run away and leave everything she’s ever known behind but Aria can’t bear the thought of never seeing her family again. Bound by the Past begins with giving an extensive insight into the beginning of Dante & Valentina’s marriage through Dante’s POV. We finally get a glimpse into Dante’s initial hesitation to form any emotional attachment with his new wife, his reluctance to let go of his past and gradually his acceptance and love for his stubborn yet compassionate and kind wife. Bound by the Past, explores all the times Dante had betrayed his oath to protect those he held dear. Every betrayal and its repercussions were a harrowing experience for Dante yet the Capo of the Outfit continued to remain stoic never once letting his adversaries deter and overpower him. Okay, hands down the best quote from this book. I can totally sing under this. Not only regarding this book but in general. This is a collection of short stories meant to give us another glimpse into the future of some couples that we’ve read of in the Born in Blood series. Ahora que se acerca el libro de Adamo a mí me hubiera encantado que fuera con Anna Cavallaro en mucha ocasiones del libro lo daban a entender pero ya que Adamo ya tiene pareja confirmada creo que será con su guardaespaldas. Born In Blood Mafia Chronicles is a book series that tells us the story of mafia families. Born into one of the leading Mob families in Chicago, Aria struggles to find her own path in a world where no choices are given. When she was just fifteen years old, her parents decided to betroth her to a man called Luca Vitielo, who is also known as The Vice. Luca is the first born son of a mafia boss and the betrothal was for the purposes of ensuring that there was peace between two families. I was actually surprised that when he learned that Fabiano disappeared he did not try to look for him, especially knowing that Rocco was a poor excuse for a father who just recently got another son. Also, speaking about Rocco, I actually find it really hard to believe that no one thought it strange that he went missing for months before Dante gave him to Remo. I mean even like mention that he went into hiding or something. I would expect that the Consigliere being nowhere to be found and on top of that impossible to reach even through phone would cause quite a chaos. There isn’t enough room in our bedroom for me and the memories of your past. If you ever decide you want to give this marriage a chance, then you can come to me and apologize for what you said. Until then, I’m done with us.”
