Constructed with durable materials, the JBL Control 25-1 is designed to withstand the elements. Its weather-resistant enclosure ensures long-lasting performance even in outdoor environments. Billed by JBL as “The most significant advance in sound contractor’s tools since the fishtape”, this range is designed “for indoor and outdoor applications ranging from restaurants, clubs and upscale retail establishments to health clubs and amusement parks”. These speakers are intended for permanent installation. Enclosures are moulded from high-impact polystyrene, lightly textured, ready for painting when decor matching. High frequency drivers offer horn-tailored directivity and the compact dimensions and adjustable mounts supplied help the installer to place the full-range cabinets unobtrusively, with the easily-placed sub-bass unit available, for low-distortion low-band output.

Also available as an optional accessory is a ceiling mounting kit of the Invisiball style, named MTC-23CM, MTC-25/28CM, MTC-29CM and MTC-30CM for Control 23-1, Control 25-1 or Control 28-1, Control 29/Control 31 and Control 30 speakers respectively. IP-44 per IEC529 (IP-55 when installed with the optional MTC-25WMG-1 WeatherMax™ grille and either MTC-PC2 or MTC-PC3 panel cover.) Exceeds MilSpec 810 for humidity, salt-spray, temperature & UV. Passes MilStd-202F for salt spray and ASTM G85 for acid-air plus salt spray. Optional MTC-25WMG-1 WeatherMax™ grille for breaking up driving rain and for especially difficult environments.
