I’ve had Remy Martin XO and Hine Antique and, whilst they’re both pleasant, I’d only choose Hennessy XO over a good whisky. Hine Antique XO is a blend composed of forty eau-de-vie made with Ugni Blanc grapes that come exclusively from Grande Champagne crus, a particular terroir of limestones and chalk that provide vivacity and finesse to the Cognac. Aged for an average of 22 years, the choice of distillates highlights the fruit and floral notes, bring richness to the blend. The fine grain of the Tronçais oak style offers up ripe fruit flavours, and release hints of walnut, freshly toasted bread and blonde tobacco as is signature of the house.
