First, get them used to wearing their harness without anything attached. Most dogs will take a few minutes to get comfortable if they have never worn a harness before. Distract them with toys or treats. The towline should be made out of stretchy, bungee material. The bungee leash accommodates variations in your dog’s movement and speed, reducing jolting as your dog runs. Using a non-stretchy leash will make dog scootering less comfortable for both you and your dog, and could result in injuries. Toboggan sledsare popular in both regular sleddingand dog sledding. In dog sledding, a toboggan sled isn't entirely different from a basket sled. Where a basket sled's basket is usually built from wood and allowed to ride high above the runners to avoid getting its contents wet, toboggan sleds mount the basket, crafted from plastic, directly on the runners. Several qualities will determine whether your dog will be good for scootering.
