Description

The book's in-depth analyses, compelling narrative, and practical insights make it an engaging read for scholars, students, and general readers interested in these fields. Not only did I learn more about these women but I learnt more about Islam which has made me want to explore it deeper. Sumayyah is remembered as one of the most heartbreaking yet inspirational representations of strong women in Islam; dealing with the aftermath of brutality, Sumayyah declined to accept in the wake of injustice and oppression. This book is about the life stories of the Mothers of the Believers and 16 other Sahabyat who had been given the good news of the paradise in this world by Prophet Muhammad (S). It's a good read as it doesn't require a lot of focus as it's a book to be read and not to be studied.

These influential women tried their best to do something good by following the path of Islam and many of them are also mentioned with name in the Quran. It made me proud to read about the roles of these women in society during the Prophet’s (PBUH) time, such as their role in memorizing and passing down Hadiths, their active roles in battles and in spreading Islam, their roles as advisors/authenticators in Islamic shariah, events or traditions, and so on. Besides the Mothers of The Believers, the compiler of the book has included the description of those sixteen women who had been given the good News of the Paradise in this world by the Prophet Muhammad (salallahu alayhi wasallam). She was known to be the biggest supporter of her father and she accompanied him from the beginning of his journey as a Prophet. It also reminds us that women and men are equal in Islam and that the best person to Allah is the most pious, no matter his or her gender, race, tribe, color, position, etc. Anyone who works righteousness, male or female, while believing, we will surely grant them a happy life in this world, and we will surely pay them their full recompense (on the Day of Judgment) for their righteous works. A’ishah (RA) had a brilliant mind and a remarkable memory, and had the distinction of being the source of many Ahadith (Prophetic narrations) because of her long association with the Prophet (PBUH).

Fatimah Radhi-Allâhu ‘anhu was the youngest child of Nabî Sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam and the only child who survived him. The scholars of hadîth are of the view that this statement was made before Aisha Radhi-Allâhu ‘anha reached the position of excellence whereupon Nabî Sallallâhu ‘alayhi wasallam said: “The virtue of Aisha Radhi-Allâhu ‘anha over all the women of the world is like the virtue of tharîd [a meat dish] over all other food. e. Zakat and alms), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadan, and the optional Nawafil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allah much with their hearts and tongues.Besides the Mothers of the believers, the compiler of the book has included the description of those sixteen women who had been given the good News of Paradise in this world by the Prophet Muhammad (S).

Many Muslims have played a vital role in Islam to which many of the Muslim women look up to in today’s time period. Practical Lessons: The book provides practical lessons that modern Muslim women can apply in their daily lives. This book is about the life stories of the Mothers of the believers and sixteen Prophet's women Companions. I hope that they will study this book thoroughly and try their best to follow these noble women of Islam.

There are good examples in the lifestyle of the Mothers of the believers and female companions, especially for Muslim women. After getting kidnapped, she was provided the opportunity to relinquish her religion Islam and denounce the Prophet Muhammad (S. His masterful rendition bridges the past and present, making these stories relevant and inspirational for contemporary readers. Abu Jahal who was a Meccan and Quraysh official, killed Sumayyah because she refused to leave Islam.
