It’s sweet and adorable and precious and dark and angsty and emotional – it might be quicker for me just to say that it was a bit of an emotional roller-coaster ride by the end. the game is currently in early access, and officially releases on Steam on the 28th of September ✨ does this game sound like something up your alley?

They have to build a friendship, learn each other’s likes and dislikes, and learn to trust one another which isn’t always easy. More complications arise in not only his professional life but his personal life as well, and with his growing fondness for Zoey clouded with his reluctance to push her boundaries and her tendency to shutdown and flee when things get hard, Ryan is forced to make a decision that could ruin his chance at happiness with the woman who has somehow made herself into his home. He was such a real guy as well; I loved his struggle with loneliness and his attempts in trying to bond with his team even though they were hellbent on ostracizing him. Ryan offers for Zoey to stay with him and the two strike up a friendship, even though Zoey finds it hard to accept help from anyone. Odette not only handles it with grace, but is incredibly realistic about what Zoey's life is like and dives deep into the emotions of her reality.

All in all, though it wasn’t my favourite, I liked reading this book, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the standalone books in this series.
