However, if given the choice, I would prefer to have a dedicated volume wheel in the form of a scroll wheel similar to the smooth, scrolling control found on the K70. This USB port is located at the right hand side, under the “G-logo” but sadly it only supports USB2. The Logitech G513 deserves the comfort award, just like the Cherry MX keyboard except the G513 is better. It doesn't have wireless connectivity, so you'll need to run a cable from the couch to the computer, which isn't ideal if you're worried about tripping over wires.

Regardless of whether you opt for the palpable-but-subtle bump of the Romer-G Tactile switches or the fluidity of the Romer-G Linear switches, the G513 Carbon's dimensions remain the same, at 5. Needless to say, if you’re on the market for a decent gaming keyboard with a lean, professional look, this is the one for you - as long as you’re okay with the lack of dedicated media keys and macros.

I’m resigned to getting something else now as I can’t fix the LEDs and even more keys are repeating. I have only begun using g810-led, and I have been having a blast with it writing my own Python and Bash scripts to animate and customize the G513 from within Linux. That's because of the heavier actuation under the fingertip, combined with the slightly wider key spacing of this particular design. Logitech’s approach is different from, say, the Razer Huntsman Elite, in that the palm rest doesn’t attach to the keyboard in any way.

With a sleek slimline aesthetic, speedy response times, and comfortable wrist rest, there's still plenty going for the G513 in 2022. After a few days of Romer-G pecking, I found the typing experience equally pleasant to the gaming one, and realized that this keyboard is held back only by its lack of dedicated macro or media keys.If you'd like to share your experience using Logitech G HUB with this keyboard, feel free to leave a comment in the discussions section. The Logitech G513 and the ROCCAT Pyro are wired gaming keyboards, but the Logitech has significantly lower latency. GX-Blue switches on the other hand would be ideal for typing so I would go with that if typing is what you will be doing most of the time. And even though the G513 is wired and the G613 is wireless, latency is only slightly higher on the G613 and shouldn't be noticeable.

While the palm rest itself is immensely comfortable, with a plastic frame, and padded all the way to the edges, the fact that it doesn’t attach to the keyboard means you can move it around, or keep it at an angle or a distance from the keyboard. This is the indication of the real measured value and a simplified illustration to classify how loud this system got in our standardized test procedure. You can customize the RGB backlighting and program your macros from here, and create unique profiles to suit your needs.Regardless of the determined value, however, all systems are guaranteed to be equipped with a sufficiently sized power supply. which adds a new estimated PCB latency test to the Single-Key Latency section and a new Analog test to the Switches section of this review.

The special Logitech software works only with Windows, and it allows you to customize the keyboard to your heart’s content. Available in two flavors of Logitech-specific key switch ("Romer-G Tactile," and the newer "Romer-G Linear"), the G513 Carbon's home-grown switches are the core of its identity. Also F10 switch was a spacebar switch that got broken during a very intense jumping puzzle in a game. Setting up the G513 for customization and personalization with the Logitech Gaming Software is pretty straight forward. gamers who are looking for a truly high-end gaming keyboard with a sturdy build quality and a sleek design.Last, the Input Analysis center records and displays which keys you press the most—something of a "stats center" for how you use the keyboard. The rigidity of 5052 alloy also provides a sturdy, non-slip chassis that houses a full suite of features for an unbeatable gaming experience. There are several presets (keyboard and software-controlled), such as RGB wave, ripple effects, starlights, solid colors, and color groups. This cable was a real drag on my setup overall and never seemed to settle in one neat position well.
