Highly recommend this book to anyone who may be reaching the end of their breastfeeding journey, and feeling nervous like I was! It features a magical element that appeals to the child, so that they look forward to their weaning day and are more emotionally prepared to say goodbye to nursing. She was dismayed to find, though, that none of the popular weaning storybooks struck the right tone. We didn’t do the balloon ceremony thing, but I would remind her that mama’s booby milk went to the moon whenever she would ask to nurse.
