Max Factor are best known for their foundations and mascaras, so I tested their newest incarnations. I didn’t use any powder with it – just added some cream blush, mascara and a slick of lip colour and I had a lovely glowy and dewy natural makeup look. I don’t use primers, so I’m not sure how well this works as a primer – but as a foundation and concealer, top marks. Undeterred however I took myself off to the chemist to scout out some products to find out what the hell is the story. The colour matched well, maybe slightly light but the next shade was too dark and made me look orange. We’re truly in love with the It Cosmetics CC cream, and while there were a great number of steady rivals, none quite gave the same illuminated, flawless finish. So, with options from It Cosmetics, Chanel, Erborian and more, take a look below to see what really was the best of the bunch. And while it instantly minimises the appearance of dark spots and imperfections, it actually works to even skin tone over time and reduces fine lines and wrinkles thanks to a cocktail of core ingredients. Squeeze a small amount onto fingertips and gently rub together – warming the product makes it even easier to apply.

Glycerine helps to hydrate the outer layer of skin by drawing moisture from the deeper levels, making skin feel smoother and softer. The packaging alone is beautiful, but the actual products deliver great results, and this CC cream is no exception. Good coverage but colour was a bit too pale even for me and by lunch time it had started sliding off my nose, around my nose and my chin! It’s marketed as a foundation that gives heavy coverage but it’s upto you on what type of coverage you need.

Max factor CC Creme is the current CC creme im using, I love the natural healthy glow it gives out whilst applying, it makes my complexion look amazingly smooth and soft, I also love the fact it has SPF in the contents! Ingredients:Aqua/Water/Eau, Dimethicone, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Homosalate, Glycerin, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Isododecane, Caprylyl Methicone, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Octocrylene, Cetyl Peg/Ppg-10/1 Dimethicone, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Tribehenin, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Sodium Chloride, Allantoin, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Citric Acid, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Disodium Edta, Fructose, Glucose, Maltose, Medicago Sativa (Alfalfa) Extract, Mica, Peg/Ppg-18/18 Dimethicone, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-Di-T-Butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate , Pentylene Glycol, Pisum Sativum (Pea) Extract, Propylene Carbonate, Silica, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate, Sodium Pca, Squalene, Tin Oxide, Tocopherol, Trehalose, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Urea, Chlorphenesin, Phenoxyethanol, Titanium Dioxide (Ci 77891), Iron Oxides (Ci 77491, Ci 77492, Ci 77499). Starting under the eyes and around the nose, apply in small circles and work outwards towards the hairline. Our tester applied each one in the morning and considered how they glided onto the skin, the coverage, how wore throughout the day and any skincare benefits too. Interestingly, it has a great smell too, so if you like to give your products a good sniff, then you won’t be disappointed. And if everyone from strangers on the street to professional make-up artists stops to ask what exactly has made your skin look that good, then you know it’s got to be something special. I am absolutely loving this mainly because I didn’t need to use any other product to get my skin to look this flawless as it layers really well for any areas that need more coverage.

CC creams, which stands for colour correcting creams, are either an absolute necessity or an unwanted extra step in any beauty lover’s daily routine.Get a flawless hydrated complexion with this CC Cream from Max Factor, covers like a foundation and is as lightweight as a BB Cream.

Olay is a household brand that we’ve all probably tried at least once or at least spotted in your mum’s bathroom cabinet. For those of you with oily skin (especially in the t-zone), the best way I've found to use this CC cream is to start with using an exfoliating cleanser, moisturise (focusing on any areas that tend to get dry), prime skin, use a setting powder on the parts of your face that get oily quickly, apply the CC cream using a beauty blender (to avoid moving the setting powder too much), then use setting powder again on the oil-prone areas and follow up with a matte setting spray. If I am going out I use a more long lasting foundation, but this is brilliant for creating natural even finish. Max Factor Colour Correcting Cream blends cucumber water, rosehip extracts and sea buckthorn together with SPF 10 protection. It also has an SPF of 50, meaning it works as a great alternative to heavy make-up or foundation in the summer months.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). I find it lasts all day and doesnt make my skin feel oily or break out, then atthe end of your day its really easy to remove.
