Description

After Archer and the others say goodbye, Alan pushes the boat out to the river and watches them go, looking at them with great respect for their courage and determination. The boat sails on and reaches a spot that resembles Gorgon where the Gorgonites can finally live in peace. They find Christy and Archer cuts her loose. Together she and Alan destroy most of the Gwendy dolls that had been programmed by the Commandos as military reinforcements and try to escape the Commandos themselves who by this time have realized their deceit. Begins with a production line of the titular toys being manufactured (including Terminator-style skeletons and Uncanny Valley-ish rubber "skins"). The sword that comes with the toys of Archer were based off of the prop of the sword for the rod puppet but in the film it is shown to be in it's sheath before going missing. There's also a notable one between Irwin and Larry, as demonstrated at the board meeting in the opening scene. Irwin is the creative mind behind the Gorgonites and designed them with the express purpose of helping kids learn. However, as a trade off for his imagination, he's rather clumsy at presenting his idea, to the point he has to hastily improvise his presentation of the Gorgonites as he goes along. By contrast, Larry may not be as brilliant as his cohort, and goes with the safe approach of making the Commando Elite action toys. Although his ideas aren't original, he makes up for it in presentation, as demonstrated in his model of Major Chip Hazard and his commercial for the Commando Elite.

Archer has sworn to protect his home world and along with his fellow Gorgonites, he destroys the Commando's weaponry and defeats Chip's troops before going to the Commando's war torn home world. Damsel in Distress: Christy gets captured and tied up to convince Alan to give up the Gorgonites. Alan and Archer rescue her, and she becomes an out and out Action Girl. General Ripper: Chip Hazard. He's obsessed with exterminating the Gorgonites, since that's what he was programmed to do: wipe out the enemy. Toilet Humor: The reason GloboTech acquired Heartland Play Company is their successful line of monster dolls who burp and fart when you push their bellies, called " The Belch Brigade."Everything else is just a toy." Gil Mars first brings it up as a potential slogan for the Commando Elite, meant to sound better than most toys. It's next said when Major Chip Hazard declares that the collective human cast are now considered "Gorgonites" as well. The slogan has becomes the Major's ominous justification for killing both the Gorgonites and their human allies. Larry Benson: Irwin. Irwin. We're members of the Globotech family. Surely we can hunt down the technology. Kill the Lights: The Commandos cut off the electricity to the Abernathy residence, and the final battle begins. There he breaks through their defenses, destroying everything to prevent them from invading Gorgon again before battling Chip himself in the inner sanctum of the main base Garrison Prime. Chip has encased himself in deadly battle armor, but Archer still manages to defeat him and Chip ends up fried to a fritter from the deadly range of one of his own cannons. Because Archer is a Gorgonite, he was ultimately programmed to hide and lose to the Commando Elite. This made Archer unhelpful in some cases. But still Archer tried to assist Alan Abernathy.

The Stinger: A dedication to Phil Hartman, accompanied by an outtake of the "A nuclear warhead?" line, with everyone laughing. We also have a good live-action cast which includes Kirsten Dunst (who loves X-Files and Led Zeppelin), Denis Leary as a demanding boss, and Phil Hartman in his last on-screen role as he was murdered two months before the movie was released. Through Larry's inexperience with the GloboTech database, he commits a critical mistake: rather than standard toy-related computer chips, the action figures are fitted with surplus X-1000 "intelligence" chips designed for use by the military. a b Abrams, Simon. "Like Going to Church: Joe Dante on "The Movie Orgy" ". rogerebert.com . Retrieved February 1, 2021. Gone Horribly Right: Putting AI into toys, programming them as soldiers and giving them a specific enemy? They become more dangerous than full sized human soldiers. It's worth noting that numerous times Larry and Irwin both admit that there's nothing wrong with the intelligence chips.A scientist played by Robert Picardo who creates AI-based technology that succeeds beyond one's wildest dreams? Yeah, THAT'S never happened before... Actually Pretty Funny: Gil Mars is legitimately amused by Flatchoo, a toy that produces fart and belch sounds which was previously designed by Irwin and Larry.
