Description

This collection of poems details every feeling you have, and she has, going through a breakup and recovering from that heartache. It didn't create any ambiguity and the line breaks didn't highlight anything or make it more poignant. Open Library is an initiative of the Internet Archive, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, building a digital library of Internet sites and other cultural artifacts in digital form. If you think often about the past or battle with overthinking and self-esteem, girl made of glass is for you. The lack of punctuation, titles and addition of odd breaks made it often difficult to decipher between poems, leaving my head spinning, trying to figure out if we had moved on.

He would doubtless have promised anything for the mere pleasure of breaking all bounds; perhaps he would even have liked her to ask him to swear on oath so he could add the attractions of perjury to his horrible pleasures. The language used was neither flowery nor vivid, and every poem was instead one worn-out cliché after another. A lot of the messages were things I already knew, the writing was too plain for me, and it mainly gave me only negative emotions. It’s not too convoluted and honestly has at least one thing you can relate to, whether that is hope, heartbreak, self-care, the healing cycle, etc. This book of poetry was less poetry and more everyday life advice you hear from your family and friends. But overall, it was over 300 pages of short choppy poems that were mostly essentially the same thing.

If I was going through a breakup I think the algorithm on Pinterest would have spoken louder for me. The person I would do anything and everything for and facing the reality that that person never truly existed in the first place. She then proceeded to talk about it in the exact same way politicians have been talking about it for 25 years!

Someone must have broken the author's heart really badly and they must have put all their feelings into these poems, but in sense of poetry and literature this this book gave me nothing. Well, if that was the intention, it also fails, simply because there's usually no continuity between one page and the next, and the random line breaks don't help it feel any less disjointed. I did sense though, that this may be part of it; that a part of grief and love and loss is this repetition, this look of neverending feelings that continue. Cửa hàng sách ngoại văn trực tuyến, chủ yếu kinh doanh sách ngoại văn cũ và đặt mới với giá phải chăng. I do not need over 300 pages of a random person dwelling about a situation we all have gone through multiple times.

The writing style made me feel like she is an older sister telling me what I need to hear in a way that says, “I see and feel your pain because I’ve been there and we’ll get through this. There was no assonance, no rhythm created by line length or repetition - I even struggled to find a single metaphor, anaphora, oxymoron, or literally any other literary device. Chúng tôi có hơn 1000 đầu sách ngoại văn đại diện cho hầu hết các thể loại ở cả phiên bản mới và cũ. Let Me F*cking Cry is an emotionally raw story of weathering through the excruciating stages of grief after losing a loved one. First, some words are outrageously misused (especially "trauma" - never mind that that's entirely telling and not showing).Glass Hearts and Broken Promises is a collection of poetry and prose about heartbreak, self-love, and raw/unfiltered emotions. Maybe it's the extremely descriptive writing or raw emotions making the reader cry or maybe you have an interesting point of view. To Be Honest is a collection of poetry that celebrates all of the different feelings and emotions we meet in our lifetime. Cada gesto dela era um feitiço, e eu estava preso em sua teia, ansioso por ser consumido por sua escuridão. I'm sorry your heart broke and I'm sure that someone who also got their heart broken could find some comfort from this book and reading about someone who relates, but other than that I don't have much positive to say.

I really appreciated how 99% of the time she didn't use gendered language making the poems much more about feeling the pain of heartbreak, betrayal, grief, etc. Admittedly, if you are new to poetry and looking for something easily digestible, this may be for you! This may be a better fit for young adults or beginners as the writing reminded me a lot of Amanda Lovelace and Lang Leav. However, the pain of the past is the biggest focus and the depth it goes to when it comes to healing is quite surface-level.My reasoning and my understanding that made a home for you to come back to each time you broke a promise and I kept putting myself through the pain of fighting for you because the hope I had for something more outshined the reality I wanted to face. But the whole point of being in love, of truly loving someone, is that you love them more than you love yourself. To add insult to injury, the collection clearly does not believe in titles, and so you just go from one page to the next without knowing where (or if? I really loved this book its full of poems and quotes that are helping when you struggle with your mental health. If you're struggling with heartbreak and you want some insight into letting go and learning to love yourself, pick this up!
